In January 2026, LUIS announced a change of certificate for the inventory server operated by LUIS. The change to the configuration of the terminals is necessary so that they can continue to communicate with the Inventory Tool server after the certificate change.
A routine check has now revealed that there are still a great many terminals with the obsolete certificate in the current inventory. These devices were last correctly inventoried on January 9, 2026. The last inventory date can be viewed in the OCS Reports.
The information on the hardware and software inventory of the end devices inventoried so far cannot therefore be considered up-to-date.
The LUIS therefore recommends that all responsible IT officers, or their deputies, carry out an internal review of their own inventory and, if necessary, exchange the server certificate promptly. The responsible persons will also be contacted directly again.
