Introduction to Parallel Programming with MPI und OpenMP
On clusters and distributed memory architectures, parallel programming with the Message Passing Interface (MPI) is the dominating programming model. OpenMP is a standard method for shared memory parallelization on multi-core, shared memory platforms.
This course gives an introduction to MPI and OpenMP. Hands-on sessions are included on all days.
Prerequisities are programming skills in C/C++ and/or Fortran and working under Linux.
The course language is English.
A detailed program will be given at the beginning of the course. All participants will get handouts.
The course is also open for HLRN users.
This course is based on the MPI/OpenMP course originally developed by Rolf Rabenseifner from the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) and is organized in cooperation with <HLRS https://www.hlrs.de/home/> .
