This applies to the analysis of the human perilymph, which is located behind the round window membrane. The composition of this inner ear liquid is directly correlated to inner ear hearing loss. In this work, experimental methods for studying the optical properties of the human round window membrane ex vivo are presented.
Optical properties of the human round window membrane verfasst von Martin Höhl, Daphne Detemple, Stefan Lyutenski, Georg Leuteritz, Arthur Varkentin, Heike Andrea Schmitt, Thomas Lenarz, Bernhard Roth, Merve Meinhardt Wollweber, Uwe Morgner Abstract Optical techniques are effective tools for diagnostic applications in medicine and are particularly attractive for the noninvasive analysis of biological tissues and fluids in vivo.
An exemplary measurement scenario under inhomogeneous optical conditions is the geometry characterization through an inspection window. The discrete refractive index variation from air to inspection window and back to air or even water can require complicated light path modeling approaches in order to triangulate 3D surface data correctly.
Thermal diagnostic of the optical window on board LISA Pathfinder authored by M. Nofrarias, A. F.Garc a Mar n, A. Lobo, G. Heinzel, J. Ramos Castro, J. Sanju n, K. Danzmann Abstract Vacuum conditions inside the LTP gravitational reference sensor must be under 10 5 Pa, a rather demanding requirement. The optical window OW is an interface which seals the vacuum enclosure and, at the same time, lets the laser beam go through for...

The present baseline for both missions includes a separate vacuum enclosure for each test mass, so that the sensing laser beam has to pass through an optical window. This window is therefore a transmissive element in the interferometer and its associated pathlength fluctuations are potentially significant.

Decentralized Routing Algorithm with Physical Time Windows for Modular Conveyors verfasst von Simon Sohrt, Ludger Overmeyer Abstract We describe a decentralized routing algorithm with physical time windows for modular conveying systems.
Transport characteristics of a window coupled in plane gated wire system authored by Y. Hirayama, Y. Tokura, A. D. Wieck, S. Koch, R. J. Haug, K. Von Klitzing, K. Ploog Abstract Low temperature T50 mK transport characteristics are measured for parallel wires coupled by a ballistic window.
