Service description

The Dateiservice comprises various services for centralised, structured storage and collaborative processing of data. The majority of the services are divided into two areas: the Projektablage and the Cloud-Services. Additional services are also offered.

The Projektablage

  • Storage of work-related data
  • Subdivision into project spaces
  • IT-Services can be activated individually for each project space
  • Request for a project only by LUH employees
  • Users are added to a project space by e-mail address
  • Access for external users possible
  • Data ownership lies with the LUH institution assigned to the project

The Cloud-Services

  • Storage of personal data
  • Available to all members of the LUH
  • Log in via WebSSO
  • Data ownership lies with the respective person

Further IT-services

In addition to the Cloud-Services and the Projektablage, two further services are offered:

  • Download Ticket Service for large files as a replacement for sending by e-mail attachment
  • IdM-Home-Share for students who need a personal storage area for storing e.g. student research projects and measurement data, bookable via the IdM

Weekly maintenance schedule

The regular maintenance window for the services of the file service is every Thursday from 10-12h. During this period, there may be brief interruptions to individual services.

If longer downtimes are foreseeable during the maintenance window, these will be announced separately and in advance.
